THE LIFE PATH NUMBERS
>> Saturday, October 23, 2010
The main numbers in a numerology chart are called the Life Path, the |
Expression and the Soul Urge. The Life Path is the major lesson to be |
learned, the central focus in a person‘s life. The Expression represents a |
person‘s potential natural abilities, and the Soul Urge represents the |
person‘s inner nature, what he/she wants to do or be. The Life Path is the |
most important of these and represents about 40% of the whole. The |
Expression accounts for 30% and the Soul urge 20%. The remaining 10% |
is made up of other factors, particularly the day of birth. |
The first step is to calculate your Life Path Number. To work it out, you |
simply add together your year, month and day of birth and reduce the |
total to a single digit. This must be done following the formula outlined |
below. If you add the numbers in an incorrect sequence, you‘ll get a false |
reading. For someone born on December 9th,1946 the correct way to add |
For example |
Year 1946 |
Month 12 |
Day 9 |
-------just add 9+12+1946= |
1967 = 1+9+6+7= 23, and 2+3=5. |
This person has a Life Path of 5. The reason the adding up has to be done |
in this particular way becomes apparent with an example using Master |
Numbers. |
A good friend of mine was born on February 29 |
,1944 (a leap year baby). |
th |
To work out her Life Path we set it out as before: |
Year 1944 |
Month 2 |
Day 29 |
-------- |
1975 = 1+9+7+5= 22 |
22 is a Master Number, so we do not reduce it any further. If we had |
added up her numbers by stringing them out in a row we would have |
found a different answer: |
2+9+2+1+9+4+4 = 31, and 3+1 = 4. |
By adding up the numbers this way we lost the Master Number. To avoid |
losing them make sure you add the numbers up in the right way every |
time. |
